Since 1998 the Safeway We Care program has raised over $18 million for local charities. Every year, each Safeway store takes up the challenge to support a charity in their community.

In 2007, the Calgary and area McMan Youth, Family and Community Services was fortunate enough to be chosen by the Cochrane Safeway store as their charity of choice. An amazing $11, 232 was raised by the Safeway employees and the community of Cochrane!

These proceeds will make a huge difference in enhancing the lives of the many children and families affected by disabilities. McMan will continue to work towards inclusion of these children and families into their communities and with support from caring and responsible companies like Safeway, we will be able to make that difference together!
