McMan Youth, Family and Community
Services Association is just that: an association
of service providers serving the youth, families,
and communities of Alberta.
Much of our funding now comes in the way of contracts
with the Province for the delivery of specific
programs, for example, those dealing with foster
and adoptive parent recruitment and training on
behalf of Alberta Child and Family Services.
Other specific program funding comes from public
sector organizations such as local health authorities
and community housing societies, and in partnership
arrangements with other agencies and service providers.
But it isn’t enough.
We need financial and volunteer help from the
communities we serve, the communities whose problems
we are working to solve, and whose disadvantaged
and disenfranchised people we are helping become
fully responsible, contributing citizens.
We need help from the business and corporate sectors
of those communities, from individuals who understand
the importance of achieving your potential. And
we need help from private citizens who care about
their communities.
The help you provide will directly benefit those
who need that help. You have our word on that.
