Milestones is an in-home program that provides Behavioural and Developmental Aide support to families who have a child with a developmental disability and who receive funding through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).
Children up to 17 years old can access the program.
Families can access a Coordinator who will meet with the parents to support them in increasing parenting skills, building extended support networks, and increasing community inclusion. Coordinators work mainly with parents and/or caregivers, and offer strategies and consultation to families.
Milestones offers counseling for families who have funding through FSCD. Counseling may be accessed for siblings, parents, caregivers, and/or the child with a disability.
Milestones also offers inclusion support to families, to assist them in increasing community inclusion for their child and family. As well, the Inclusion Coordinator can help families to build natural support networks and plan for their child's future.
