McMan has been providing foster care services throughout the province for over 20 years. Our foster care programs provide safe, caring homes to children who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to live with their own families. Most often, a foster home is a temporary home for these children, with the ultimate goal of the children returning to their immediate or extended family or being adopted.
| "We have been foster parents with McMan for over fifteen years. We love fostering because it makes a difference – for the children we care for, for their families, and for us.
Six years ago Ray and Stephen came to live with us. They were two and three years old at the time. With the help of McMan we were able to locate and establish a relationship with the boys’ grandparents and last year Ray and Stephen were adopted by their grandparents. Although they have moved away, the boys still call us mom and dad, and we still all spend time together as one big happy family – children, parents and grandparents."
